Born in 1965 in Moscow. In 1989 he graduated from Moscow
Higher Industrial Art School (former Stroganovka). Works in a genre of a sculpture of the small
forms uses mainly engineering of moulding from bronze.
Sculptor defines his own style as
"plast-modern". It is distinguished with transformation of the
form of objects by way of "turn out of internal volume". It creates
effect of penetration of air inside of the closed space, allows to
see objects both from out and inside simultaneously, and thus
amplifies of emotional perception of works.
The whole process of creation of sculpture,
not only it creative stages, but also all technological operations,
including moulding, is executed personally by author. Dmitri Pokrovsky
uses original tricks of toning (for example, imitation of stone) and
variations giving possibility to change a colour gamma, texture and silhouette of a surface.
Sculptor co-operates with such

(Nizhni Novgorod), "Moscow fine art" (Moscow), "White Circle"
(Moscow), "ART-floor" (Vladivostok); magazines "ART-PANORAMA"

newspapers "Province" (Nizhniy Novgorod), "Lights of Vladivostok"
(Vladivostok), "Evening Moscow" (Moscow) and with publishing house "Third Wave" (Moscow-Paris-New York).
